Terms of Business
Prices
Prices are a general guide only and smaller or larger plants are
priced accordingly.
Mail Order
Please note that mail order is for thyme only. Thymes can be
despatched throughout the year, as they become available and there
is no minimum charge. All the other plants in the catalogue are only
available from the nursery or at plant sales. Most perennials are
too big to despatch in the summer and by the autumn many varieties
are already sold out!
Please e-mail a list of plants you wish to order, or fill in the
order form and send together with s.a.e., listing substitutes if you
wish, bearing in mind that it is possible that not all the plants
you request are available. I will send you an invoice for the plants
which are available, including the amount for carriage and packing.
Please send a cheque for the appropriate amount and the plants will
be despatched when the cheque has been cleared. Cheques should be
made payable to Mrs. M. Easter. If an order includes plants which
are not ready for immediate despatch I will inform you. If this is
the case I can either send them all at a later date, or if you wish
send them in two consignments, but with two carriage costs. Please
indicate your requirements.
I am also happy to propagate quantities of thymes to order.
Please enquire for details, enclosing an s.a.e., or telephone to
discuss your requirements, or send an e-mail to mail@thymus.co.uk .
If you wish I can suggest suitable varieties for your planting plan.
This usually means you will receive your plants earlier than if you
wait for particular varieties to be propagated.
Carriage rates
I use First Class Mail for very small quantities of thyme.
However for larger quantities, I prefer to use a local carrier, Hand
Delivery (part of the APC Group). They are very reliable with a next
day delivery service and are cheaper than Parcel Force.
Complaints
All plants are despatched in good condition and no responsibility
can be accepted for failure to grow or for damage in transit.
Plant Sales and Shows
I am happy to take pre-paid orders to plant sales and
shows. Please contact me for details of venues and dates.
Overseas customers
There is no mail order outside the UK, as the carriage costs are
prohibitive. I am happy to supply plants to overseas customers,
especially thymes, but they must be collected from the nursery.
Customers outside the EU must be responsible for their own
phytosanitary documentation.
