Thymus

Ingleton

In 1998 we walked the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk in Yorkshire.  This consists of a circular walk along footpaths up one river valley, across the hills at the head of the valley and then back down the next valley, returning to Ingleton.  Along the route there is a series of spectacular waterfalls, with ancient woodlands and open rocky areas.  We saw considerable amounts of thyme growing alongside the paths, in full-sun, either in the short grass or in pockets of soil between rocks.
